Straight Mast Forklifts

Straight Mast Forklifts

Product Description

Highly maneuverable straight-mast forklifts are the most commonly used material handling machine present in a wide variety of private, commercial, municipal, military and industrial applications. The machines are designed to move palletized materials and bulk items with ease, featuring a distinctive upright, vertical assembly in the front, usually fitted with forks to accommodate pallet slots.

The mast can be shifted side to side for precise alignment while retrieving or positioning pallets, as well as an inexhaustible list of objects.

Hydraulic power to the lift is generated by the unit’s LP or diesel engine or by a battery-powered electric motor.

A straight mast forklift may be single mast, 2-stage mast or 3-stage mast, each stage increasing the forklift’s lift-height capability. Two-stage masts are most common, with lifting capacities of 15,000 pounds or greater, but units capable of off-road use with 8,000-pound, 21-foot lifting capacities are available on the market.

Forklift manufacturer, training, certification operating guidance have been standardized in many regions throughout the world.
